1. Effects of Tart Cherry in Post-Exercise Muscle Soreness and Muscle Damage

11 sportsmen ate Tart Cherry one time daily (480 mg/d) for 10-d including day of exercise up to 48-h post-exercise.

Results showed that Tart Cherry group exhibited lower muscle soreness perception and reduced markers of muscle damage response and physiological stress

 2. Effects of Tart Cherry in Reducing Blood Uric Acid Level, lowering the risk of Gout 

10 healthy women who have consumed cherries showed significant reduction in blood uric acid levels 5 hours after cherry consumption.

Besides, increase in urinary uric acid suggests that cherries may increase the kidney filtering efficacy to excrete uric acid.
